Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day!
“All that I am I owe to my mother.”
-George Washington
This Sunday is dedicated to all the mothers out there. Whether they became a mother the old fashioned way or because someone blessed them with the gift of adoption, or whether they have been a stand in mom for many who don’t have one, Sunday is the day to celebrate those people!
Today, our dental team of Mothers, would like to give you our top 5 favorite, inexpensive gift ideas to shower your mom or the person who may be the mom in your heart with love!
We also know that there are many men out there that play the role of dads AND moms to so many, so don’t forget that these work for the daddy acting as both parents!
1. Set up an at-home spa DAY
Who doesn’t love an opportunity to relax, unwind and indulge? Give mom the gift of an at-home spa, so that she can take some time for herself, even if she only has an hour to spare. Put a gift together with some chocolates, scented candles, a fragrant bath bomb, some nice music and a great book – and most importantly, give her some uninterrupted privacy!
2. Make her home shine
As most mothers will tell you, being a mom is HARD WORK! Thank her for all she does by cleaning the house from top to bottom. A few simple products and those floors, counters and mirrors will be shining in no time, while mom puts her feet up and enjoys some much-needed rest.
3. Walk down memory lane
Put together a scrapbook or slide show just for mom. There are so many step-by-step guides to creating an awesome, personalized gift using your favorite photos. Some of them even incorporate recycled items to save you money and the environment!
4. Give back to other moms who are in need
Local shelters dedicated to mothers and children are always in need of support. You and mom can give back to other mothers with a donation of your time or gently-used items. Call your local shelter to find out what they need the most, or when you can volunteer. G.R.A.C.E. in Grapevine, TX is always looking for donated items for women in need.
5. Let Mom choose
Reserve the day just for her and let her know you’re ready to do anything she wants to do! If all she wants is to spend time with you, have a backup plan like brunch, a hike or a movie so that you can have some quality time together. Sometimes moms just want to spend time with us, no matter what we are doing together. Simple but very valuable.
