Technology
Digital X-rays: Rather than uncomfortable X-ray films, we use a digital sensor to take X-rays of teeth and supporting structures. Digital radiography emits 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays and produces highly detailed images that are instantly transferred to a computer monitor. The dentists can magnify, rotate, and color-code each X-ray to explain their findings and educate patients about dental conditions and treatments.
Intraoral Cameras: It’s true – a picture really is worth a thousand words, especially when it comes to your smile! To aid in accurate diagnoses, we use a small, wand-like camera that takes detailed photos inside your mouth. We display these images on a computer screen in your treatment room to give you the same view of your smile that the dentist sees.
TV Monitors: Every examination room comes equipped with a TV optimally positioned to display intraoral photos and digital X-rays. We also show educational information on the TVs, as well as cartoons for kids.
Fiber Optics: Instruments illuminated with fiber optic light allow superior clarity and vision during dental examinations and treatment.
